LOCAL ACCOMMODATIONS Looking for somewhere to stay near camp? Some Camp Chosôn families travel great distances to be with us for the week. Others may live within driving distance, but don't want to deal with the unexpected traffic delays one can find in a daily commute. Being able to stay around the Hudson area cost-effectively is desirable and is something we try to help with every year by setting up a block of reserved rooms. In addition, some families have reported to us they appreciate the camaraderie of staying at the same hotel as other families and being able to get to know them after what can sometimes be, "a long day a camp". For 2008, we have a block of rooms set up under our camp name at the Comfort Inn listed below. Other local hotels are listed as well. Wherever you stay, we'd appreciate feedback regarding your experience.... good or bad. This information will be used in future years as we reserve a block of rooms every year. We hope to hear from you! ****************************************************************** 2008 HOTEL INFORMATION COMFORT INN, HUDSON There is a block of rooms at the Comfort Inn, 811 Dominion Drive, Hudson, WI 54016, (715) 386-6355 or (800) 725-8987, located on the south side of Interstate 94 west of the Highway 12 exit. This hotel has become the favorite of past camp families and continues to be a place where our families staying in Hudson enjoy spending time with each other "after hours". Rooms are being held for our group, under the camp name, and they will be held until May 30th. The rooms are non-smoking, have two queen beds and have complimentary continental breakfast. We have been quoted a price of $74.95 + tax per night. The hotel advertises free high speed internet, a jacuzzi and a pool. A better rate than that quoted to us may be found on the internet at www.comfortinn.com. OTHER ACCOMMODATIONS: BEST WESTERN, HUDSON HOUSE INN The Best Western - Hudson House Inn, 1616 Crestview Drive, Hudson, WI 54016, (715) 386-2394, is approximately in the same location as the Comfort Inn. It is slightly older and has been less attractive for our families in the past; however, may provide a cost-effective alternative to the Comfort Inn. The rooms have complimentary breakfast and offer free local calls. They advertise a data port/modem, a dining room, fitness center and pool. Other accommodations found on the internet include: Fairfield Inn, 715-386-6688 or 800-228-2800, www.marriott.com/fairfieldinn Holiday Inn Express, 715-386-6200 or 800-315-2621, www.hiexpress.com Super 8, 715-386-8800 or 800-800-8000, www.super8.com Camp Choson has little experience with these last three hotels, but they may be worth checking especially if the block reservations are full. As long as you stay near Hudson, you won't be far from camp.
